The elephant's foot or Nolina Beaucarnea, is a very easy houseplant. A heavy tuber, a sturdy trunk and a cheerful curly ball of leaves. The Beaucarnea likes a light spot, but prefers not to be in full sun. The ideal temperature for this plant is 20ºC. Only water the Beaucarnea when the soil feels dry. It's okay to forget to water once in a while. When in doubt, wait before watering, better too dry than too wet. This plant stores water in the tuber and stump in order to survive in drier periods. The plant is partly self-sufficient. In autumn and winter, this plant uses less water than in summer.
This Nolina Beaucarnea or elephant ear has a pot size of 17 centimeters, is 45 to 50 centimeters high and has been carefully grown by nursery Duijn-Hove. All Bries aan Zee houseplants are delivered daily by our growers and are therefore shipped super fresh.
