Often called Palm Twizzles. "Jhat" in Sanskrit means entangled and the word is often used to describe tangled hair, which is a very accurate description. These are from the Borassus flabellifer a very important tree in Asia as parts of the palm are used for many things. The fruits are eaten and used to make toddy and one of the palms other names is Toddy Palm. Leaves are used for thatching and weaving and in ancient times were even used as paper in Indonesia. Lengths of these pieces are from 35-45cm long and there are 5 stems per bunch
